In April of this year, the Yamaha Group inaugurated its new YGP2010 (Yamaha Growth Plan 2010) medium term business plan, which will take the company through March, 2010. Under this medium term plan the musical instrument, pro audio, music software, AV/IT and device domains based on sound, music and network technologies have been redefined as the domain of "The Sound Company." This move reflects our goals of achieving sustainable growth and acquiring management resources in a focused and proactive manner.
